Today is my birthday. A few years ago, this would have involved wine. Not because it was my favorite part of the celebration, but because alcohol seemed to show up at every celebration by default. Birthdays. Vacations. Anniversaries. Date nights. I guess it was just part of the package. What's funny is I don't miss it on days like today.
